They provide solid support for the shafts of gears and are designed for gears with shafts measuring 3 mm in diameter. Unlike ball bearings, bushings have a simple solid construction without balls or other moving parts. During gearbox operation, the gear shaft rotates directly against the smooth sliding surface of the bushing. This makes them a simple design suitable even for mechanically stressed builds. The bushings are made of steel. For proper operation of the sliding contact, we recommend suitably lubricating the contact surface between the shaft and bushing, for example with PTFE grease. Before installation, it is necessary to check both the 8mm diameter of the seats in the gearbox and compatibility with the 3mm shafts of the gears being used. The package contains a total of 6 bushings, providing a pair for each of the three gears in a standard AEG gearbox.
