Externally, the FLCN 5.56 features a rigid, durable polymer upper receiver, while remaining lightweight and easy to use for extended play. The foregrip is equipped with MLOK slots. The charging handle can be installed on the left or right side to suit the user’s needs. The ejection port door locks open for easy access to the rotating hop-up and closes with the push of the ambidextrous slide latch.

The lower receiver is also made of polymer and accepts most AR-style AEG magazines, giving players a wide selection of aftermarket parts. The fire selector is also ambidextrous, making the FLCN 5.56 perfect for right or left-handed shooters right out of the box. A 6-position folding stock with a 4-position adjustable cheek rest wraps the package, making the FLCN 5.56 perfect for players of all sizes. QD slots on the forearm and stock allow for easy sling installation.

Internally, the FLCN 5.56 features a programmable electronic trigger unit with an optical sensor that also monitors gearbox status and battery level. The 8mm bearing gearbox features a quick-change spring to easily switch from inner to outer muzzle velocity and vice versa in less than a minute. A rotary-style hop-up ensures precise adjustments for accurate and consistent shots. The FLCN 5.56 is wired for Deans/T-Plug, but also comes with a Tamiya mini adapter, and the battery is stored in the stock.
