However, it is primarily a battle-proven tool used by various special forces units around the world, including the Czech 601st Special Forces Group.The MK18 traces its roots to a modified version of the M4 carbine, which was developed to meet the needs of special forces. The first version of the MK18 was created based on the requirements of the U.S. Navy SEALs for a compact and highly effective rifle for close-quarters combat.The BLOCK 2 version represents an extended model that is longer than the standard MK18 but still shorter than the M16 rifle. The key feature of the MK18 BLOCK 2 is its 13.5-inch barrel, which still allows for easy maneuverability in confined spaces while also providing accuracy for medium-range shooting.The airsoft AEG assault rifle MK18 BLOCK 2 (SA-P26) in the top-tier Prime(TM) series from Specna Arms was developed in collaboration with EMG (Evike Manufacturing Group).
